How Hesperia works: launching a token, where the tax goes, holder rewards, buybacks, graduation, and trading on Elysium.

How Hesperia works

Hesperia is a token launchpad on Elysium, Kinetiq's chain that settles to HyperEVM. Every token starts on a bonding curve: you buy and sell it against the curve in HYPE, and the price moves with every trade.

When every token on the curve is sold, the token graduates: its HYPE and tokens move into a DEX pool whose liquidity is locked forever.

Every trade pays a small tax. The creator decides where it goes: to themselves, to holders, to buybacks, or into liquidity. That's the point of Hesperia: launches where the fees can come home to the people holding the token.

The screener and leaderboard cover every token trading on Elysium, not only the ones launched here, and the swapper lets you buy and sell any of them that has a DEX pool.

Launching a token

One page, one transaction. You set:

  • Token: name, ticker, a picture link, a short description, and website / X / Telegram links. These are written into the token for good.
  • Pair: HYPE. Holder rewards are paid in HYPE too. More pairs are coming.
  • Tax: a buy tax and a sell tax, each between 1% and 10%.
  • Split: where the tax goes (see Taxes and the split).
  • Launch protection: on or off (see Launch protection).
  • First buy (optional): buy up to 10% of the curve in the same transaction. It stays locked until the token graduates or 3 days pass, whichever comes first.

These are the current launch defaults. The launch page always shows the live values.

Taxes and the split

Every buy and sell pays the token's tax in HYPE. The platform takes 20% of the tax first. The other 80% is split the way the creator chose, across four lanes:

LaneWhere it goes
CreatorTo the creator's wallet, claimable any time.
HoldersPaid in HYPE to everyone holding the token, in proportion to their balance.
BuybackSaved up to buy the token back and burn it.
LiquiditySaved up and added to the DEX pool at graduation.

Example: a $100 buy with a 3% tax

$3.00 tax. $0.60 to the platform, $2.40 split by the creator. With 50% to holders and 50% to buybacks, holders get $1.20 and $1.20 goes to buybacks.

The split is shown on every token's page, so you know where your tax goes before you trade. After graduation, fees from the DEX pool run through the same split.

Holder rewards, buybacks, liquidity

  • Holder rewards. HYPE builds up for every holder in proportion to how much they hold. Claim it from the token page. Pools and the burn address don't earn.
  • Buybacks. While the token is on the curve, anyone can trigger a buyback: it spends saved HYPE (up to 0.5% of the curve's HYPE per call, at most every 15 minutes) and burns the tokens it buys. After graduation, buybacks run on the DEX.
  • Liquidity. Saved HYPE is added to the pool at graduation on top of the curve's own HYPE, so the pool starts deeper and at a higher price. After graduation it's added to the pool over time.

Launch protection

An optional switch at launch that makes sniping expensive. For the first 5 minutes:

  • The tax starts at 30% and falls to the token's normal tax.
  • Each wallet can buy at most 2% of the curve.
  • The creator's first buy doesn't count toward either limit.

Tokens with protection on show a notice on the trade panel while it's active.

Graduation

A token graduates when the last token on the curve is sold. The final buy is capped at what's left, and any extra HYPE is refunded. At the current defaults that's about 153 HYPE raised.

  • Anyone can trigger graduation once the curve is full.
  • The DEX pool opens at the curve's final price.
  • The pool's liquidity is locked forever. Tokens left over from the reserve are burned.

Before graduation, tokens trade only on the curve

You can buy and sell on Hesperia, but tokens can't be sent from wallet to wallet until the token graduates.

Creator controls

A creator can only make terms better for traders, never worse:

  • Lower taxes. Down only, never below the minimum.
  • Move share. Move part of the creator's lane to holders, buybacks or liquidity. Never back.
  • Hand over. Transfer the creator role to another wallet.
  • Claim. Claim creator fees any time.

Trading on Elysium

Until Elysium's public launch, every transaction goes through Elysium's inbox on HyperEVM and lands with the next batch, about every 3 hours. Your pending transactions show in the queue button in the header.

Swapping. Buy and sell any Elysium token with a DEX pool from the Swap page or the box on its token page. The Hesperia router asks every pool the token trades in (v2, v3 and Uniswap v4 pools) for a live quote and uses the best one. It takes a 0.5% fee in HYPE, on top of the pool's own fee. Selling needs a one-time approval, sent in the same inbox post. The router only trades through pools made by known DEXes, so a look-alike pool can't win your trade. Tokens still on a Hesperia curve trade on their own page instead.

Slippage matters more here

A trade runs with the next batch, at the price then, not the price you saw. Your max slippage is the most the price can move against you before the trade cancels itself; it also expires after 12 hours.

Portfolio and P&L cards

Portfolio shows what you hold across every Elysium token, with unrealized and realized profit and loss worked out from your actual trades.

Hit Share on any position to make a P&L card: your return, the amount if you want it, your average buy, the current price and how long you've held. Download it, copy it, or post it straight to X.

Platform token

A Hesperia platform token with staking is planned. Half of the platform's share of every tax is set aside for stakers. Details will be published here before it launches.
